Many holiday cocktails are loaded with sugar and a wild concoction of liquor and mixers, leaving you ringing in the New Year with another resolution: drink smarter. But you don’t have to stick to vodka sodas with lime to stay healthy. This fruit-forward cocktail is loaded with fresh peach, cantaloupe, papaya, and orange. Not only is it flavorful, but the cocktail is rich in vitamins B3, B5, B6, and B9 to counteract the effects of alcohol on your energy levels as well.
½ cantaloupe, seeded and diced
1 whole papaya, peeled, seeded, and diced
Juice of two oranges
1 cup frozen peach slices
Sparkling wine, chilled
Puree the cantaloupe, papaya, and orange juice in a blender. Divide the mixture between four champagne flutes. Add a few slices of frozen peach to each glass, then top with sparkling wine. Serve immediately.
