I have been on a salad kick this summer, trying to figure out how to ditch store-bought salad dressing for something healthier. Gluten-free. Preservative-free. Dairy-free. Pretty much everything-free. According to Eat Simply, a healthy homemade salad dressing only requires:
2 parts extra virgin olive oil (or other oil of your choice such as walnut oil) + 1 part acid, such as vinegar, lemon or lime juice, or Dijon mustard + salt and pepper + optional tahini (to make a creamy dressing).
However, as a fan of easiest-possible cookin’, even having to analyze the dressing ratios made my inner fearful chef want to scream. Lucky for you, my many kitchen failures stemmed further recipe research.
So, here ye, here ye! I have discovered the easiest salad dressing recipes from the world-wide-web, ratio calculation included (you know, the kind of recipes that make dinner guests think we all know what we’re doing). If you’re a kitchen-avoider like me, any recipe that notes “5 ingredients or less” will make the heart sing.
